The Nut

In addition to the usual bone nut (picture to the left) I'm offering a combination of "spacer nut" and zero fret.

The spacer nut does exactly what it says: it's responsable for the string spacing. The zero fret is regulating the string height.

The fretwire for the two or three lowest strings is a little bit higher, to give the open string a bit more action, while reducing buzzing issues. The fretwire of the treble strings is equal to the other frets of the guitar.
As the nut is less stressed, it can be built from wood, which matches my personal taste. But of course it also can be made from bone.
